Following the plots and conspiracies of the enemies of the Islamic Revolution aimed at creating unrest and instability in various cities of Iran, Maulavi Ibrahim Abdullah and a group of members of the Sri Lanka Sufi Spiritual Association met with the Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Iranian Cultural Center in Colombo. During the meeting, they emphasized their support for the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

In this meeting, Maulavi Ibrahim Abdullah praised the resilience of the Iranian people in confronting hostile plots and commended the wisdom and leadership of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. He stated that under such circumstances, it is essential for Muslims around the world to set aside their differences, stand united, and prevent the West, the United States, and Israel from achieving their malicious objectives.The Head of the Sri Lanka Sufi Spiritual Association stressed that any harm to Iran would inevitably impact the entire Islamic world, adding that in today’s global context, Iran is the only country that has consistently defended Muslims and their interests. He emphasized that it is now necessary for Muslim nations to stand alongside the people of Iran.The Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while expressing appreciation for the supportive stance of the Sufi Spiritual Association, stated that Western powers have for centuries exploited the Islamic world and subjected nations to oppression and injustice. He noted that the actions carried out by the Zionist regime in Gaza would not have been possible without U.S. support, and that any Israeli aggression against Iran could not take place without the green light from the United States and its Western allies.He further emphasized the need for vigilance, stating that the West and the United States have a long record of plotting and interference. He described Iran’s confrontation with the West and the United States as a clash between the principle of independence and hegemonic domination, stressing that contrary to the image they seek to project, they themselves pose a serious threat to global peace and stability.Referring to historical precedents, he stated that Iran has never initiated aggression against other countries, while the Zionist occupying regime, despite its short history, has repeatedly attacked the Palestinian people and neighboring states. He also pointed to the numerous military interventions carried out by the United States, including in Iraq, Afghanistan, and more recent actions targeting Venezuela and Iran, as evidence of America’s hegemonic conduct.He concluded by emphasizing that the Iranian people remain steadfast in the face of external pressure, and expressed confidence that under the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Iranian nation will overcome the schemes and conspiracies of its adversaries.
